If you're out and about in the woods in Louisa County in Iowa and you come across a cute little kitten...DON'T PET IT! Chances are it can rip your arm off and beat you with it.

Ok, that's a bit extreme, but chances are there's a mama close by that you don't want to mess with.

According to KWQC, a Louisa County man spotted 6 baby bobcat cubs in the woods. Mama bobcat spotted the man and began growling and "making screaming noises." A couple of the baby bobcats climbed up a tree, which is a defensive measure to hide from potential predators.

Bobcats were listed as endangered in Iowa in 1977 due to loss of habitat, according to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. They have made such a strong comeback that today Iowa has a bobcat hunting season.

I don't recommend putting out a bowl of 9 Lives for the cute kittens...with razor sharp teeth and claws, and a attitude.
