Early this morning the Scott Emergency Communications Center shared a Facebook post from Clinton County Communications letting the public know about 9-1-1 outage that is affecting cell phones in the State of Iowa.

The outage is causing cell phone calls to 9-1-1 to be re-routed to the Iowa State Patrol Office in Des Moines. What this means for folks dialing 9-1-1 from a cell phone is they will need to give more location information than they would normally need to when calling 9-1-1.

As of this afternoon there has been no update from Clinton County Communications on the status of the outage. The Facebook post from Clinton County Communications Facebook page is below so you can check and see if they have posted an update.
