The Quad Cities Marathon takes place on Sunday. With heat and humidity forecast to be pretty high during the race, organizers are reminding runners about the need to stay properly hydrated.

The 26.2 mile race goes through all four Quad Cities and across two bridges.

There is also a half marathon, and the choice can be made to go half during the race if you feel the conditions are challenging you a bit too much.

Whichever you choose, remember to drink plenty of water.
