This is a guest blog written by Townsquare Media's Michael Weindruch. Michael is one of Townsquare Quad Cities biggest sports fans and is sharing some of his experiences with us from this year's John Deere Classic.

Like the rest of the media folks covering the John Deere Classic, I sat in the air conditioning yesterday. Flat screens are located all around the media room and most journalists are meeting deadlines at their work stations while sneaking a peak at a screen.

The only difference between where I'm sitting and the rest of the media, is that I'm on my couch. In my living room. At home!

The coverage on The Golf Channel is tremendous for the Quad Cities in addition to John Deere as Title Sponsor. What's great about the coverage is the positive comments from the TV crew regarding the volunteers, the pristine nature of the TPC @ Deere Run course, the fine job by the Grounds Superintendent and numerous views of a calm Rock River. And where else do you hear a shout out to Duck City Bistro on a national broadcast?

CBS begins it's coverage on Saturday and although we don't get the "A" team of Jim Nantz and Sir Nick Faldo, we do get name brand golf announcers and they too love this tour stop.

Head out to the JDC for the final rounds or catch it all on either The Golf Channel or CBS (Local 4 in the Quad Cities).
