Summer may be coming to an end, but construction season is still going strong. Unfortunately, that means more road closures in the Quad Cities this week.

According to the City of Davenport Facebook page, westbound W Locust will be closed between Crescent and Cedar for a sewer lateral repair, starting today. Traffic will be head-to-head in the eastbound lanes during this time. The work is expected to be done on Wednesday.

Once that's done, work will begin on the sewer and resurfacing project between Division and Lincoln Streets. They will likely close 3 block sections at a time. When they switch to the resurfacing project, work will be completed in two sections.

Things won't shut down completely though. According to the statement, "one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained for the duration of the project."

All of this work is anticipated to be done by Friday, October 26th, if weather isn't an issue.
