Meteorologists are predicting our first snow of the season tonight. According to Local 4 News Meteorologist Ashe Simpson snow will begin to fall in the area between 9PM - 10PM and be widespread by Midnight. He's predicting the snow will end between 8AM - 10AM tomorrow morning.

Local 4 News Meteorologist Zane Satre's updated forecast calls for between one and two inches of snow. For our first snow in the Quad Cities that's actually not too bad. The past couple of years the first snow in the Quad Cities were more than seven inches.

That said, we'll still be brushing off our cars. Plus, it's not only going to snow. It's going to be cold. We won't make it much above freezing tomorrow and it'll be windy. That means wind chills in the 20's.

There's a couple of other things we need to remember with this first snow. Roads may be slicker than normal tomorrow morning so go slow. Secondly, be careful on sidewalks. Some of the snow's going to melt when it falls, but it may freeze as the temperatures drop.
